Job summary

ExcelaCare in Clovis, NM seeks a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support home health patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will perform planned services, administer home exercise programs, and help patients achieve functional goals in their own homes.

This role emphasizes compassion and teamwork. This role requires a degree from an accredited OT program and NBCOT eligibility, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program; NBCOT exam eligibility or completion.
• 1 year home health experience preferred.
• CPR certification; valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Performs services delegated and supervised by the OT to meet patient goals.
• Administers home exercise programs and assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Instructs families and caregivers in home exercise and use of assistive devices.
• Maintains plan of care adherence and timely documentation per policy.
• Attends case conferences and works with the care team to coordinate services.
• Organizes scheduling to complete all assignments and treatment timely.
