Amedisys is seeking a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Pulaski, VA for PRN/per-diem work. You will provide skilled OT interventions under supervision, document visits, and coordinate care to support patients healing at home.

Ideal candidates hold an OTA ACOTE-accredited program, NBCOT eligibility, a state license, CPR, and at least one year of OT experience; mentorship is available via regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the applicable state.
• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• Eligible to take or has completed the NBCOT exam.
• One year of related OTA experience, or regional leadership approval with mentorship if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Provide skilled OT interventions under supervision per physician plan of care.
• Document each visit following AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising OT and care team.
• Provide resources for future ADL/IADL needs for patient/caregiver.
• Promote wellness through occupational engagement and community resources.
• Stay current on OT trends to improve service provision and care coordination.
• Coordinate follow-up care with the admitting care center and team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
