Goodwin Living in Virginia is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver home-based therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA approved COTA program.
• Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• CPR certified (adult only).
• Possess a Virginia Driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance and readily available, reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Provide personalized occupational therapy treatments in patients’ homes, focusing on overcoming functional losses due to disease or injury, all under the plan of care devised by our Occupational Therapists.
• Serve as the vital link between patients and Occupational Therapists. Share progress, address concerns, and suggest plan adjustments to ensure the most effective care possible.
• Equip patients and their caregivers with the knowledge and skills for home exercises and safety.
• Work hand in hand with nursing staff, home health aides, and other therapists to deliver a holistic care approach.
• Meticulously document treatments and services, ensuring clear communication with healthcare professionals and adherence to Medicare guidelines and agency protocols.
