Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is seeking a PRN/Per-Diem Home Health COTA to provide skilled interventions under the supervision of an OT. Responsibilities include documentation, tracking patient responses, and coordinating with the care team to ensure adherence to the plan of care.

The role requires an ACOTE-accredited OTA program graduate, state licensure as an OTA, NBCOT eligibility or certification, and CPR. A minimum of one year of OTA experience is preferred, with mentoring available for less

Qualifications

• Licensed as an OT assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• Eligible to take or has completed the NBCOT certification exam.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an OTA; mentoring accepted if less.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions under supervision of an OT and within the plan of care.
• Documents visits per AOTA guidelines for the patient record.
• Monitors patient response and reports changes to the supervising OT and care team.
• Provides caregiver resources for ADL/IADL needs.
• Promotes wellness through occupational engagement and community resource knowledge.
• Assists with follow-up care planning in coordination with admitting care center.
• Maintains current knowledge of OT trends and care coordination.
