Parallon is seeking a Home Health Coder II in Florida to review and code home health and hospice cases. You will document coding recommendations, resolve denials with the team, and stay current with guidelines and CMS regulations.

The role emphasizes quality, productivity, and service excellence in a healthcare data environment. The position requires a coding certification and at least two years of home health coding experience, with OASIS knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years professional fee coding experience in home health and hospice.
• Coding certification is required; OASIS certification preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Review and code from clinical notes for home health and hospice.
• Maintain or exceed productivity and quality standards.
• Coordinate with A/R on denials and update coding edits as needed.
• Stay current with coding guidelines and federal regulations.
• Participate in in-service trainings and educational programs.
• Review OASIS time points and related documentation in EMR for timely submissions.
• Utilize tools and training strategies to improve outcomes.
• Address SHP alerts and reports with the team lead/QSS.
