Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Home Health Coder II to review and code home health and hospice clinical notes, document recommendations, and work with denials teams to resolve coding issues. You will ensure timely OASIS submissions and stay current with coding guidelines as part of a service-oriented coding team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of professional fee coding experience with home health/hospice, and coding certification.

Qualifications

• Two years professional fee coding experience required, with one year in Home Health and Hospice coding.
• Coding certification required; OASIS certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review and code from clinical notes.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Coordinate with A/R on denials/rejections and suggest coding edits.
• Stay current with coding guidelines and federal regulations.
• Participate in in-service trainings and education programs.
• Review and submit OASIS time points and related docs in the EMR for CMS submission.
