Job summary

Parallon is seeking a Home Health Coder II to review and code clinical notes for home health and hospice, ensuring timely and accurate coding and OASIS submissions. You will work with the team to resolve denials and stay current with coding guidelines.

Required two years of professional fee coding experience with at least one year in Home Health/Hospice, and a coding certification. OASIS certification is preferred but not required; strong terminology knowledge is expected.

Qualifications

• Two years professional fee coding experience required with one year in Home Health/Hospice.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is preferred.
• Coding certification is required; OASIS certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review and code from clinical notes for home health and hospice.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Collaborate with A/R team on denials/rejections and coding edits.
• Stay current on coding guidelines and federal regulations.
• Engage in in-service trainings and professional development.
• Review OASIS time points and related documentation in the EMR for CMS submissions.
• Utilize tools and training strategies to improve outcomes.
• Address SHP alerts and reports with QA team.
