Job summary

Caring Hands Homecare is seeking a compassionate Home Care Aide to support patients in their homes with one-on-one care plans. You will perform daily living tasks, support personal care, and help maintain a safe, healthy home environment while building trusting relationships with patients and families.

Strong verbal and written communication is essential. Prior home health or hospice exposure is a plus, with opportunities for advancement and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a New Jersey accredited Certified Home Health Aide program (CHHA).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year prior professional experience preferred.
• Driver’s license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care.
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Give medications reminders and immunizations.
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities
