Job summary

Caring Hands Homecare is seeking a Home Care Aide to join our team in New Jersey. You will work one-on-one with patients in their homes following individualized care plans and build meaningful relationships while delivering attentive care.

Strong communication is essential; prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus. A NJ CHHA certification and a high school diploma or GED are required, with driving and CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a New Jersey accredited Certified Home Health Aide program (CHHA).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year prior professional experience preferred.
• Driver’s license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care.
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Give medications reminders and immunizations.
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities.
