Job summary

Caring Hands Homecare in New Jersey seeks a compassionate Home Care Aide to work with patients in their homes following a one-on-one care plan. You will provide personalized, attentive care, build genuine relationships, stay organized, and communicate clearly with supervisors and families.

Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus; driver’s license and CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited New Jersey Home Health Aide program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year prior professional experience.
• Driver’s license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities (beds, baths, wheelchairs, cars).
• Care for patients by linen changes, laundry, home cleaning, and personal care.
• Maintain records of patient care and report observations to supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to keep them mentally healthy.
• Give medications and immunizations.
• Engage patients in exercises or activities.

• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
• Give medications and immunizations
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities
