Position Details

• Facility: BayCare Health System, Private Duty
• Location: Pinellas County
• Status: Full Time, hourly
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Weekend Work: Every 3rd weekend
• On Call: No

Home Health Aide Key Responsibilities

• As part of the patient care team, works under the guidance and supervision of the staff nurse in providing personal care to the patients
• Follows the patient's plan of care for completion of tasks assigned to the home health aide by the registered nurse or other appropriate skilled professional
• Maintains an open communication process with the patient, representative (if any), caregivers, and family
• Demonstrates competency with assigned tasks
• Complies with infection prevention and control policies and procedures
• Reports changes in the patient's condition
• Honors patient rights

Required

• Certifications and Licensures: CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA certification from accredited 75-hour program
• Driver's License State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Education

• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Preferred 1 year Home Care
