Job summary

Human Touch Home Health is seeking compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides (HHAs) for PRN home care opportunities in Blacksburg and surrounding communities. You will assist with daily activities, provide companionship, and help clients maintain independence at home in a flexible schedule.

This role emphasizes patient dignity, patience, and respect, with opportunities for growth within a supportive leadership structure and local community impact.

Qualifications

• Home Health Aide training or certification as required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Dependable and compassionate.
• Strong communication skills.
• Comfortable providing one-on-one care in clients' homes.
• Ability to follow an established plan of care.
• Home Care or Home Health Experience Preferred, but Not Required.

Responsibilities

• Bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Toileting and other activities of daily living.
• Mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance.
• Medication reminders as permitted.
• Light housekeeping related to the client's care.
• Companionship and emotional support.
• Maintaining a clean and safe home environment.
• Observing and reporting changes in the client's condition.
• Following the established plan of care.

What You'll Do

As a Home Health Aide, you may assist clients with:
