Assisting Hands Home Care in Boston, MA, is hiring caregivers to support clients in their homes. You will assist with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, and medication reminders, while offering companionship and dignity to clients. Training is provided and opportunities for advancement exist within the team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Assist with Mobility, Transfers, Light Exercise or Walking.
• Prepare and serve meals for healthy eating.
• Provide medication reminders and follow care plans.
• Provide companionship and engage in activities to brighten each day.
• Show enthusiasm to help others and maintain a supportive attitude.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment for clients.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands and track miles.
• Demonstrate dedication and respect for the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming; your support helps our clients maintain dignity and comfort

• Medication reminders are crucial to our client’s health, we will train you
• Provide companionship, engage in fun activities and be the friendly face and joyful presence that makes every day a little brighter
• Show enthusiasm for helping others, eagerness to learn, and motivation to provide excellent care
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients' homes
• Occasional Transportation of your client to appointments or errands, we reimburse your miles
• Demonstrate dedication to our clients and respect for our agency’s close knit team

Requirements

• Proficiency in English
• Current CNA or HHA certification or caregiving experience
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience
• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but not necessary; what matters most is your kindness and eagerness to make a difference
• Strong communication skills and a caring nature because a warm, empathetic approach is at the heart of what we do
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
