Job summary

Visiting Angels Temple is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to assist clients in Temple and surrounding areas. Shifts offer flexibility from 1 to 12 hours and require reliable transport for travel to multiple clients.

Caregivers will schedule a minimum of 20 hours per week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

A great attitude, helpful and ready for anything.
Ability to take direction, follow rules and be proactive.
Good time management skills.
High integrity and strong ethics.
MUST have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly.
MUST be able to work weekends.
Be over 18 years old.
Successful completion of a Criminal History check.
Professional references.
Reliable transportation of your own that you will be driving.
Valid Driver's License/clean driving record/proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.).
Medication reminders.
Monitoring/safety supervision.
Meal preparation.
Light housekeeping.
Laundry, errands and shopping.
Ambulation/mobility assistance, including lifting 50lbs and above.
Supportive companionship.
Respond quickly in case of an emergency.
Transportation to and from appointments.

Home Health Aide - HHA

Visiting Angels Temple is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes.

We are looking for a Home Health Aide - HHA who has availability on weekdays AND weekends. Home Health Aide - HHA shifts can be any length of time between 1 hour to 12 hours- day OR night! We coordinate with your availability and our clients' needs to build your perfect schedule! Our goal is to schedule you for a MINIMUM of 20 hours/week, which means you can pick up AS MANY clients as you'd like!!! Our clients reside in Temple and surrounding areas (Copperas Cove, Killeen, Lampasas, Belton, Cameron, Rockdale, and MORE) therefore, a Home Health Aide - HHA MUST have reliable transportation of your own that you will drive to and from each client and be willing to travel outside of Temple. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!
