Job summary

Visiting Angels Temple is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes. We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant with weekday and weekend availability.

Shifts range from 1 to 12 hours with a minimum of 20 hours per week, serving clients in Temple and nearby areas.

Qualifications

• Over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Reliable transportation to travel to clients.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History check.
• Professional references available.

Responsibilities

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.).
• Medication reminders.
• Monitoring/safety supervision.
• Meal preparation.
• Light housekeeping.
• Laundry, errands and shopping.
• Ambulation/mobility assistance.
• Supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly in case of an emergency.
• Transportation to and from appointments.

Senior Care Assistant

Visiting Angels Temple is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes.

We are looking for a Senior Care Assistant who has availability on weekdays AND weekends. Senior Care Assistant shifts can be any length of time between 1 hour to 12 hours- day OR night! We coordinate with your availability and our clients' needs to build your perfect schedule! Our goal is to schedule you for a MINIMUM of 20 hours/week, which means you can pick up AS MANY clients as you'd like!!! Our clients reside in Temple and surrounding areas (Copperas Cove, Killeen, Lampasas, Belton, Cameron, Rockdale, and MORE) therefore, a Senior Care Assistant MUST have reliable transportation of your own that you will drive to and from each client and be willing to travel outside of Temple. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!

Senior Care Assistant job duties include but are not limited to:

Senior Care Assistant Requirements:

• A great attitude, helpful and ready for anything
• Ability to take direction, follow rules and be proactive
• Good time management skills
• High integrity and strong ethics
• MUST have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly
• MUST be able to work weekends
• Be over 18 years old
• Successful completion of a Criminal History check
• Professional references
• Reliable transportation of your own that you will be driving
• Valid Driver's License/clean driving record/proof of insurance
