Job summary

Visiting Angels is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) to cover Berks and surrounding areas, including Northern Chester County. We offer part-time and full-time roles with day, evening, and overnight shifts. Highly values reliability, compassion and professionalism in caring for seniors and disabled adults.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of caregiving experience. CNA a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience in caring for seniors and/or disabled adults.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Respect for reliability and professionalism is essential.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks (oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming).
• Provide medication reminders and light housekeeping.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals; assist with transfers and mobility.
• Offer transportation to appointments and encourage activity and social engagement.

Visiting Angels of Reading is currently looking for a Home Health Aide - HHA to work in and around Berks and Northern Chester County. We serve the local area including and many others. Part-time and full-time positions available. We have day, evening, and overnight shifts available.

Applicants MUST have

• MUST have high school diploma or equivalent
• MINIMUM of 6 months experience in caring for Seniors and/or Disabled Adults professionally or personally.
• Reliable transportation is a MUST.
• Reliability and Professionalism are very important.
• MUST enjoy assisting in the needs of others.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
• CNA a plus Not a requirement.

Home Health Aide - HHA responsibilities may include:

• Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming
• Planning, preparing and serving meals
• Assistance with transfers, walking and physical activity
• Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping
• Providing companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times
