Job summary

Visiting Angels of Reading is seeking a caring Caregiver to support clients in Berks and surrounding counties. Both part-time and full-time positions are available, with day, evening, and overnight shifts offered in the local area.

Responsibilities include personal care, medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, transfers, transportation support, and companionship. Requirements include a high school diploma, at least 6 months of caregiving experience, reliable

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in caring for seniors or disabled adults.
• Reliable transportation is a MUST.
• Reliability and professionalism are very important.
• Must enjoy assisting in the needs of others.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
• CNA a plus (not required).

• Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming
• Planning, preparing and serving meals
• Assistance with transfers, walking and physical activity
• Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping
• Providing companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

6 months care experience with seniors and/or disabled adults

CNA certification a plus (not required)
