Job summary

Visiting Angels of Reading is seeking a Part Time Home Health Aide (HHA) to support clients across Reading and nearby communities. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meals, transportation, and companionship under customized care plans.

Advancement opportunities and ongoing training are available, with care delivered in clients' homes. This role offers meaningful work, flexible schedules, and proximity to home in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience caring for seniors or disabled adults.
• Possess a valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes at scheduled times.
• Comfortable with housekeeping and cooking duties.
• Willing to comply with state and office health and safety standards (e.g., background check).
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client's day.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship and respond in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Provide assistance with mobility at home and during appointments.
