Interim HealthCare of Mercer County is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) to assist seniors at home in Essex County. The role emphasizes compassionate, client-centered care with guidance from an RN and online training opportunities.

The position offers 1:1 client ratios, set your own schedule and opportunities to pursue education with Rasmussen University tuition discounts. CPR and NY registration proof may be required.

Qualifications

• Active Home Health Aide (HHA) registration in New Jersey is required.
• Six months of healthcare experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• TB, MMR and HepB vaccination information may be requested.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support so seniors live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, companionship).
• Assist with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor.
• Maintain a safe home environment with clear pathways.
• Engage clients in activities to promote joy and well-being.

Job Overview

Requirements

• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
