Job summary

Vertical Home Health in Indiana is seeking a compassionate home health aide to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide multiple levels of support to clients in their homes.

Responsibilities include personal hygiene assistance, meal planning, mobility support, housekeeping, and reporting incidents promptly. Must have a valid driver’s license and at least 1 year of in-home care or healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to improve skills.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day.
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating

• Remindclients to take prescribed medication

• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)

• Assist with personal care and hygiene

• Plan and prepare meals

• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so

• Perform housekeeping duties

• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
