Job summary

Vertical Home Health is seeking a compassionate home health aide to join our Indiana team. You will provide personal care, help with daily living activities, and support clients in their homes with warmth and professionalism.

The role emphasizes responsible care, safety, and the ability to adapt to changing shifts, including nights and weekends. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, with opportunities for benefits and growth within the Vertical family.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Willingness to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Demonstrated compassion and supportive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications as directed.
• Assist with mobility and accompany to appointments or activities.
• Plan and prepare meals and assist with daily living tasks.
• Complete shopping or accompany clients to shop safely.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean living space.
• Report incidents promptly and respond to emergencies.
• Support daily living activities and provide companionship as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating

• Remindclients to take prescribed medication

• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)

• Assist with personal care and hygiene

• Plan and prepare meals

• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so

• Perform housekeeping duties

• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one‑on‑one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day

• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner

• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends

• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in‑home care environment (minimum of 1 year)

• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
