Job summary

Vertical Home Health is seeking a compassionate home health aide to join our Indiana team. You will provide personal hygiene assistance, assist with mobility and daily living activities, and help with meals and transportation for clients in their homes.

We value a friendly demeanor, a can-do attitude, and a commitment to patient wellbeing. This role supports elderly and recovering clients, with opportunities for varied shifts and participation in our incentive programs.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every day.
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
• Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care (minimum 1 year).
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• Take pride in providing high quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (appointments, walks).
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report unusual incidents and act quickly in emergencies.
• Assist with daily living activities including serving meals if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
