Job summary

Vertical Home Health in Indiana is seeking a compassionate home health aide to join our growing team. The role focuses on providing in-home care with dignity and respect to elderly or recovering clients.

You will assist with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders, while ensuring safety and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and a flexible schedule including nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in one-on-one caregiving or similar setting.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willing to work nights and/or weekends.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care experience.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and basic daily living tasks.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility around home or to appointments.
• Support personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Shop for clients or accompany shopping.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
