VillageCaregiving in Camden on Gauley is hiring In-Home, Non-Medical Caregivers immediately to serve Webster County. We offer flexible schedules, competitive pay, and a compassionate team environment. You will support clients with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and transport to appointments.

Qualifications include CPR certification and a high school diploma; prior caregiver experience is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility at home or during appointments.
• Support with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with prescribed physical therapy and exercises.
• Shop for clients or accompany them shopping when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and prepare meals.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Report unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• CurrentCPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
