Job summary

Village Caregiving - Lexington is hiring reliable caregivers to cover a variety of shifts with flexible scheduling. The caregiver role focuses on assisting clients with daily activities, medication reminders, mobility support, personal care, and light housekeeping.

Paid training including CPR is provided. Prior caregiver experience is preferred but not required, and commitment to health and safety standards is expected. We welcome diverse applicants and offer competitive pay and bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility around the home and in outings.
• Support personal care and daily hygiene.
• Help clients complete prescribed exercises and activities.
• Run errands or accompany clients to appointments as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Report any incidents to office staff and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

The caregiver's role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care.

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Assist clients withmobility aroundthe house or outside
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients completerecommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them whenthey shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’tcomplete on their own, including preparing meals
• Report any unusual incidents to office personnelandfamily members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Record days and hours on agency care sheets

Caregiver Requirements:

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required, we provide PAID training
• Willingness to adhere to health and safetystandards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cookingwith attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a goodbedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time managementand interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass drug test
• Able to pass background check
• Must have reliable transportation
