Job summary

VillageCaregiving is hiring immediately for in-home, non-medical caregivers in Webster County, including Camden on Gauley, WV. This role offers flexible schedules and competitive hourly pay, with daily pay options.

You will support clients with daily tasks, mobility, personal care, medication reminders, and transportation to appointments while maintaining safety and dignity. Prior caregiving experience is welcome but not required; CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required and current.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including preparing meals.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members.
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene

REQUIREMENTS

• CurrentCPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
