Job summary

VillageCaregiving is hiring IMMEDIATELY for In-Home, Non-Medical Caregivers. Join a compassionate team providing essential in-home support with flexible schedules and competitive pay.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, mobility, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and meal preparation in clients' homes. CPR certification is required; prior caregiver experience is welcome but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients take prescribed medications and follow treatment plans.
• Support ambulation and mobility in and out of the home.

• Accompany clients to appointments and shopping as needed.
• Report incidents and communicate with caregivers and family.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• CurrentCPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
