Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Slidell in Covington, LA is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to join our growing in-home care team. You’ll support clients to live independently with dignity through personalized care that respects their routines and preferences.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, providing companionship, light housekeeping, and documenting care in accordance with care plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Home Health Aide, Caregiver, or CNA preferred
• Valid HHA certification or willingness to obtain one
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor
• Ability to perform light physical tasks including lifting and assisting with mobility

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
• Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
• Accompany clients to medical appointments or errands as required
• Maintain accurate care logs and documentation in compliance with care plans
