Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Slidell is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to join our Covington, LA team. You will provide personalized in-home care to promote independence and dignity, supporting clients with daily activities and offering companionship.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility support, and documenting care plans. A valid HHA certification or willingness to obtain one is required, along with reliable transportation and strong

Qualifications

• Experience as Home Health Aide, Caregiver, or CNA preferred.
• Valid HHA certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor.
• Ability to perform light physical tasks including lifting and assisting with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and families.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments or errands as required.
• Maintain accurate care logs and documentation in compliance with care plans.
