Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Slidell in Chalmette, LA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our in-home care team. You will provide one-on-one personal care, support daily living activities, and promote client well-being in the comfort of clients' homes.

Ideal candidates are licensed CNAs in Louisiana with strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach. Training and development opportunities and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana CNA certification required.
• Experience in home health or caregiving preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance.
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety and comfort.
• Monitor and document client health status, reporting changes to supervising nurse.
• Support clients with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and nutritional monitoring.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe, clean living environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being.
• Follow individualized care plans and home health care protocols.

Requirements:

• Active CNA certification in the state of Louisiana
• Previous experience in home health, long-term care, or a similar caregiving setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a home care environment
