Responsibilities

• Oversee daily home health operations to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Maintain compliance with federal and Missouri regulations, Medicare, and accreditation.
• Monitor clinical quality and support QA/PIP activities and survey readiness.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, coach, and retain qualified staff; ensure training and evaluations.
• Oversee budgets, billing accuracy, staffing costs, and supply expenses.
• Communicate policy updates and ensure consistent implementation across the agency.
• Lead emergency preparedness activities and ensure appropriate coverage.
• Develop relationships with physicians, hospitals, and community partners to support referrals.
• Evaluate performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Foster effective communication among staff, clinical leadership, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Agency Operations: Oversee daily home health operations to ensure efficient, safe, and effective delivery of patient care.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with applicable federal and Missouri regulations, Medicare requirements, accreditation standards, and agency policies.
• Clinical Quality: Partner with clinical leadership to monitor patient care, direct Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities, and support survey readiness.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, supervise, coach, and retain qualified employees. Ensure appropriate staffing, orientation, training, and performance evaluations.
• Financial Management: Oversee budgets, billing accuracy, staffing expenses, supply costs, and financial performance.
• Policy Management: Ensure agency policies and procedures are reviewed, communicated, implemented, and consistently followed.
• Emergency Preparedness: Oversee emergency preparedness activities and ensure appropriate Administrator and Clinical Director coverage.
• Business Development: Build relationships with physicians, hospitals, discharge planners, and community partners to support referrals and sustainable growth.
• Performance Improvement: Evaluate operational results, staffing, service effectiveness, and quality metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication among employees, clinical leadership, management, and the governing body.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare administration, home health operations, or a related healthcare leadership role.
• Supervisory or administrative experience in home health or a related healthcare program.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, Medicare requirements, quality improvement, and compliance.
• Experience with budgeting, staffing, personnel management, and operational performance.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work effectively under pressure, and build collaborative teams.
• Commitment to patient-centered care, employee development, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Active Physical Therapy (PT) license.
• Home Health Administrator, Agency Director, or comparable healthcare leadership experience.
• Experience with QAPI, regulatory surveys, emergency preparedness, and financial management.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, business, or a related field, where applicable to the position's qualification requirements.

Candidates must meet all applicable federal and Missouri Administrator qualification requirements.

Important: Because the RN license is now preferred rather than required, verify that candidates without an RN license can still satisfy the applicable Missouri and federal Administrator qualification requirements.
