Job summary

Croell, Inc. is looking for a Ready Mix Driver in Calmar, IA to join a team that prides itself on safety, reliability, and service. You will be home every night delivering concrete to diverse contractors and projects, while following DOT regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities include inspections, load verification, slump checks, and keeping the truck and shop in good condition. Strong communication and dependability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL and current Medical DOT card.
• Consent to pre-employment screen, motor vehicle record check, and drug test.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate ready mix truck and deliver concrete per DOT regulations.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Verify loads, check slump, and ensure proper ticket accuracy.
• Complete wash down at job site and drum rinse on return to plant.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service and collect payments.
• Maintain vehicles, plant, and shop to keep a clean, safe workplace and perform routine maintenance.
• Complete required paperwork using tablets or cell phones.
• Be a team player, cross-train on dispatching/mechanics, and adapt to non-exhaustive duties.
