Job summary

Accendra Health has a Delivery Technician role focused on delivering, setting up, and picking up durable medical equipment in patient homes. You will educate patients on equipment use and ensure safe operation while delivering high-quality customer service.

This role supports patient safety, comfort, and independence within a small, supportive team at the Portsmouth branch, with a transparent on-call rotation and a stable schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily deliveries and setups.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Completion of Apria’s Driver Training Program.
• English reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily deliveries and setups.
• Deliver, set up, and pick up DME and supplies inside patient homes.
• Provide clear, compassionate, professional instruction on equipment use.
• Offer a high level of customer service and support to patients who may rely on this equipment for life‑sustaining needs.
• Load and unload equipment from the delivery vehicle.
• Respond to emergency delivery requests when needed.
• Complete delivery logs, pickup forms, and vehicle documentation accurately.
• Maintain supply components in patient profiles.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and minor repairs.
• Perform routine vehicle checks.
• Support additional duties as assigned.
