Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Nurse Educator for Home Therapies to train patients and families in safe home dialysis delivery. The role involves staffing for coverage, staff training, and active participation in CQI activities within the facility.

You will educate patients on ESRD treatment options, assess home environments, and coordinate with physicians to ensure continuous care and proper equipment use. CPR certification and nursing licensure required.

Qualifications

• RN graduate with state licensure required.
• Minimum one year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred; dialysis experience preferred.
• CPR certification required; CPR training maintained.
• Experience with teaching patients and families on home therapies.
• Familiarity with Home Therapies equipment and procedures.
• Ability to train staff and coordinate education sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective training and oversight of home dialysis therapies.
• Rotate with licensed staff to ensure adequate coverage.
• Participate in staff training, orientation, and meetings.
• Contribute to CQI activities and document outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about ESRD, home dialysis, and device operation.
• Deliver home therapy support and communicate patient issues to physicians.
