Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Registered Nurse with nephrology/home dialysis experience to empower and educate patients on home dialysis modalities. You will assess patient needs, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and document dialysis data. Travel and on-call rotation may be required as part of oversight duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the employed state.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Minimum of 12 months RN experience for assigned oversight duties.
• Home dialysis therapy experience preferred.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation including nights/weekends/holidays.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and patients.

Responsibilities

• Empower, engage, and train dialysis patients on home dialysis therapies.
• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Assess and manage patient responses to home dialysis training.
• Communicate patient-related issues to physicians as needed.
• Participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, quality improvement, staff training, and new-staff orientation.
• Collect, analyze, and document dialysis data in patient medical records.
• Adjust treatment plans and notify supervisors or physicians as needed.
• Educate patients and families about transplant and treatment modality options.
• Rotate coverage with licensed home therapies staff and participate in on-call coverage.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
