Job summary

Ross Express in Hartford, VT is seeking a Non-CDL Driver to pick up and deliver freight locally. You will be home daily, including weekends and holidays, while maintaining safety and compliance with all regulations.

The role requires a clean driving record, DOT physical, drug screen, and successful background checks. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) match, and annual bonuses. Training available for Hazmat within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3–5 years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
• Background checks including work history and prior employer substance checks.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred; ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license and successful driving test.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of commercial vehicles in compliance with laws and policies.
• Local freight pickup and delivery to customer locations.
• Maintain records required for regulatory compliance and logs.
• Follow all federal hazmat rules for hazardous materials transport.
• Interact professionally with customers during pickups/deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
