Job summary

Ernst Concrete is seeking a dedicated delivery driver to transport ready-mix concrete and related products to construction sites across our production areas. The role involves performing DOT pre- and post-trip inspections, loading and securing materials, and ensuring accuracy of delivery tickets.

Candidates must pass background checks and DOT-related screenings, read GPS directions, and communicate effectively with dispatchers.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Commitment to safety and DOT guidelines.
• Clear and effective communication with dispatchers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily DOT pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck and fluids.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance and cleaning; operate small power tools.
• Review delivery tickets for addresses and additional products; clarify with dispatcher.
• Add ingredients and check slumps and mix as directed on delivery tickets.
• Place chutes and ensure secure connections; document all required information.
• Collect COD deliveries in full and return to the company; refuel and clean truck after unloading.
• Communicate with dispatchers throughout the delivery process; report any unsafe conditions.
