Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Shuttle Driver for a Sun–Thu schedule with home daily. The role features a dedicated frozen grocery shuttle account, primarily drop-and-hook, no-touch freight, and a competitive package totaling around $70,000 per year plus a $5,000 bonus.

Duties include shuttling reefer loads between Westfield, MA and relays in Milford, CT, and West Haven, CT, typically 5–10 runs daily. Start times ~3:00–4:00 PM; NYC deliveries not required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Clean driving record.
• DOT Medical Card.
• No SAP drivers.
• Reliable transportation to daily work site.
• Ability to perform pre-trip inspections and inspect tractor/trailer tires.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Must operate safely and legally at all times.
• Willingness to assist with store deliveries and other account needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate dedicated frozen grocery shuttle account with drop-and-hook, no-touch freight.
• Shuttle reefer loads from Westfield, MA to relay yards in Milford, CT and West Haven, CT.
• Typically 5–10 shuttle runs per day, with a minimum of 3.
• May handle trailer moves, store transfers, and local backhauls.
• Shuttle drivers do not deliver in NYC; supermarket deliveries may be required.
