Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Shuttle Driver for Fall River, MA. You will shuttle refrigerated trailers on a dedicated frozen-grocery account, with home daily and no-touch, drop-and-hook freight. The role involves shuttling between MA and CT relay yards and occasional store transfers.

Average pay is around $70,000 per year with a $5,000 bonus. Shifts start in the Fall River yard, with multiple schedule options and some sixth-day work during holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable truck-driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• No SAP drivers.
• Reliable transportation to and from the Fall River yard.
• Must perform pre-trip inspections and inspect tractor and trailer tires.
• Operate safely and legally and demonstrate good customer-service skills.
• Must be flexible to assist with store deliveries and other account work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated frozen-grocery shuttle operation.
• Reefer trailers with no-touch, drop-and-hook freight.
• Shuttle frozen grocery loads between Westfield, MA, and relay yards in Milford or West Haven, CT.
• Minimum 3 shuttles per day, with approximately 5–10 possible depending on the destination.
• May assist with store transfers, trailer moves, local backhauls, supermarket deliveries, or other account needs.
• Store deliveries may involve 2–3 stops per trailer, electric pallet-jack unloading, and return-product or backhaul pickups.
• No deliveries in New York City.
• Automatic trucks; drivers should expect to slip-seat.
• Trucks cannot be taken home.
