Job summary

Performance Foodservice is looking for experienced Delivery Drivers in the United States. You will be responsible for home daily deliveries, ensuring timely and safe transport of food products to customers across the route. The role offers a path to stable, well-compensated employment with comprehensive benefits.

Expected duties include safety checks, loading/unloading, accurate paperwork, and customer sign-offs. CDL-A, 21+ years old, and DOT card compliance are required for this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL-A license required.
• Valid DOT Health Card and ability to secure new DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Inspects tractor/truck and trailer to meet company safety standards and take action as needed.
• Reports safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines.
• Inspects trailer for proper load and secure freight.
• Verifies delivery with customer and collects signatures where required.
• Loads deliveries and ensures paperwork is accurate and legible.
• Delivers customer orders according to route schedule.
• Unloads products at designated customer storage areas.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
• Performs housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area.
