Job summary

Rock Region METRO is Arkansas’ largest public transit agency serving the Little Rock metropolitan area. This role focuses on the safe and timely operation of fixed-route buses and delivering courteous passenger service including schedules, fares, and transfers.

Responsibilities include operating a city bus, assisting passengers with schedules and routes, and aiding passengers with disabilities. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, with a strong local presence in central Arkansas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Prefer one year of CDL passenger driving experience.
• Must possess a Class A or B CDL with Passenger endorsement or CLP.
• Must have a good driving record as defined by METRO.
• Pass pre-employment background check, a DOT medical examination, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operates a city bus
• Requires sitting for long periods while operating bus.
• Must meet schedule demands of the route
• Must assist passengers in wheelchairs by securing wheelchair
• Provide passengers with general information of routes and schedules.
