Qualifications

• Previous scheduling, dispatching, staffing, or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
• Home health, personal care, or healthcare scheduling experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, email, and Microsoft Office.
• Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively under pressure.
• Knowledge of Northern Virginia geography is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily and weekly schedules for personal care aides, caregivers, and home health clinicians.
• Match caregivers and clinicians with patients based on availability, location, skills, and patient needs.
• Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, clinicians, and office staff regarding scheduling changes.
• Respond promptly to caregiver call-outs, late arrivals, and staffing emergencies.
• Arrange replacement coverage to minimize missed or interrupted services.
• Monitor upcoming visits, identify scheduling gaps, and proactively resolve staffing concerns.
• Assist with new patient scheduling and coordination of start-of-care visits.
• Maintain accurate schedules, staffing records, and communication notes.
• Escalate urgent patient care concerns and unresolved staffing issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and agency policies.
