Job summary

MedStar Health in Baltimore is seeking an experienced Clinical Operations Manager or Professional Development Specialist to lead nursing education, clinical supervision, and field mentoring for home health staff. You will guide clinicians, ensure regulatory compliance, and spearhead care plan development across complex patient populations.

Key duties include staff training, performance feedback, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and service quality

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 3-4 years RN experience (ICU/CCU/Med-Surg/Oncology/Gerontology) within last 5 years.
• 1-2 years Home health nursing experience preferred.
• RN license in DC, MD, or VA; valid driver's license; CPR certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field training for newly hired nurses and home health aides.
• Provide feedback to clinical leadership on staff performance and education needs.
• Develop individualized clinical orientation programs for new staff.
• Mentor and guide field trainers/preceptors to meet competency requirements.
• Ensure accurate Oasis documentation and regulatory compliance in care plans.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to manage caseloads.
