Job summary

Home Instead in the Pittsburgh area is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors at their homes. You will visit clients, build relationships, assist with meals, light housekeeping, and personal care while promoting independence and dignity.

Starting pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, with $1 more for weekend visits, and potential to earn up to $18.00 per hour after eight weeks. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Minimum of three professional references.
• Willing to work at least two weekly shifts with the same client.
• Basic English speaking, reading, and writing skills; bilingual candidates encouraged.
• Completion of any required compliance, license, or registration steps.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with seniors through companionship and care.
• Assist with meals, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Help with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in maintaining independence and dignity.

You’ll be driving to client’s homes in the greater Pittsburgh area, so a valid driver’s license and a dependable vehicle are required.

Pay & Benefits

• $15.00–$16.00/hr, plus $1/hr for weekend visits**
• Opportunity to earn up to $18.00/hr after your first 8 weeks***

**Weekend visits start between Saturday 12:01AM and Sunday 11:59PM

***To be considered for the wage increase, you must meet Honor’s requirements as a driver (valid U.S. drivers' license and clean driving record), have more than 6 months of paid/professional caregiving experience, work 20 visits in your first 8 weeks of employment, and remain in good standing with Honor. The $18.00 is for select regions and applies to weekend shifts with high transfer clients
