Job summary

Home Instead in the Pittsburgh area is hiring compassionate caregivers to support seniors at home. You’ll provide companionship, help with daily activities, and assist with personal care, while enjoying a flexible schedule and training opportunities.

Competitive pay starts at $15.00–$16.00 per hour with $1 extra for weekend visits, potential to earn up to $18.00 per hour after eight weeks. Benefits include health, dental, vision, a 401(k) match, paid holidays, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Minimum of three professional references.
• Willing to work at least two weekly shifts with the same client(s).
• Completion of any required compliance, license, or registration steps.
• Basic English speaking, reading, and writing skills (bilingual encouraged).

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with seniors through companionship and care.
• Assist with meals, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Help with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in maintaining independence and dignity.

Whether you’re experienced or brand new to professional home care, our team is here to help you every step of the way. You’ll be driving to client’s homes in the greater Pittsburgh area, so a valid driver’s license and a dependable vehicle are required.

Pay & Benefits

• $15.00–$16.00/hr, plus $1/hr for weekend visits**
• Opportunity to earn up to $18.00/hr after your first 8 weeks***
• Weekly pay with direct deposit

*must be in good standing and worked a minimum of 16 visits in first 45 days

**Weekend visits start between Saturday 12:01AM and Sunday 11:59PM

***To be considered for the wage increase, you must meet Honor's requirements as a driver (valid U.S. drivers' license and clean driving record), have more than 6 months of paid/professional caregiving experience, work 20 visits in your first 8 weeks of employment, and remain in good standing with Honor. The $18.00 is for select regions and applies to weekend shifts with high transfer clients
