Home Care Aide / Caregiver

Custom Comfort Home Care LLC – Bakersfield, CA

Custom Comfort Home Care is looking for compassionate, dependable, and professional Home Care Aides/Caregivers to join our growing team. We provide personalized, non-medical in-home care that allows our clients to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

We are looking for caregivers who genuinely enjoy helping others and understand the importance of being reliable, patient, respectful, and attentive to each client's individual needs.

Responsibilities

Home Care Aides may assist clients with:

• Personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

• Mobility, transfers, and ambulation assistance

• Meal preparation and feeding assistance

• Medication reminders

• Light housekeeping and laundry

• Companionship and social interaction

• Transportation and errands when authorized

• Grocery shopping and other household needs

• Maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment

• Following each client's individualized care plan

• Completing required shift reports and documentation after each shift

• Communicating changes or concerns regarding a client's condition to the Care Coordinator

• Providing dependable and punctual care for all scheduled shifts

Requirements

Applicants must:

• Meet California requirements to work as a Home Care Aide

• Complete or maintain required Home Care Aide registration/background clearance

• Have current CPR and First Aid certification

• Have a valid driver's license and clean DMV record when driving is required

• Have reliable transportation

• Be dependable and able to arrive to scheduled shifts on time

• Be able to communicate professionally with clients, families, and the Custom Comfort team

• Be comfortable assisting seniors and adults who may require hands‑on personal care

• Be able to follow written care plans and company policies

• Be able to complete required shift documentation

• Wear scrubs and closed-toe shoes while working

• Be willing to undergo required background screening

Previous caregiving experience is preferred, but we also value applicants who demonstrate compassion, professionalism, reliability, and a genuine desire to care for others.

Scheduling

We offer a variety of caregiving schedules based on current client needs. Shifts may include:

• Day shifts

• Evening shifts

• Overnight shifts

• Weekends

• Short and extended shifts

• Ongoing recurring assignments

Availability and flexibility are important, as client schedules and care needs may vary.
