Job description

About Us

We're a local Home Instead franchise, family owned and operated by two generations of the same family. We serve the majority of north-central Arkansas.

Starting at $22/hr

  • Full time, Monday-Friday
  • Mountain Home, AR
About Us

We're a local Home Instead franchise, family owned and operated by two generations of the same family. We serve the majority of north-central Arkansas.

We provide non-medical in-home care for seniors. Three things we're known for:

  • We move quickly. A family who calls us doesn't wait weeks for a consultation.
  • A real person answers our phone, any hour, any day.
  • Someone from our office sees our clients in person, not just at the beginning.
The Job

You'd be the first person a family talks to. Most families who call us have been putting it off for months. They're tired, they're worried about someone they love, and they often aren't sure what they're asking for. Your job is to steady that conversation, then go sit down with them at home and work out what would actually help.

From there you build the plan of care, agree the hours and the cost, get the client started, and stay with them through their first month. Then you hand them to our Client Care Advisor, who carries them from there.

We're looking for a motivated professional who cares about aging adults and takes client care personally. This seat carries real responsibility. You're the first impression of this company, and the reason a family decides to trust us.

What We Offer
  • Starting at $22/hour, with more for the right experience
  • A team incentive plan — when the office reaches a new milestone, everyone shares in it
  • Monday through Friday
  • 401(k) with a company match up to 4%
  • Two weeks of paid time off, a week of paid sick leave, and paid holidays
  • Health and related insurances
  • A company vehicle for client visits
  • Ongoing training
  • A locally owned and operated office
What a Day Looks Like
  • Taking calls from families who are looking into care, and getting to what's really going on at home
  • Sitting down with a family in their living room to talk through what they need
  • Building the plan of care, and walking them through the hours and what it costs
  • Meeting the care pro at the client's first shift, and walking them through the home and the plan together
  • Checking in through a client's first month, so nothing gets missed while everything is new
  • Working with our schedulers, our RN and our care pro team to get things sorted

Clients are spread across Mountain Home, Harrison and Batesville, so expect to be in the company car a fair amount.

What We're Looking For
  • A real passion for aging adults and for the quality of care they receive
  • Genuine curiosity. What a family tells you first is rarely the whole picture, and the right questions are what get you to it
  • Someone who solves problems by pulling the team in. The right answer for a client almost always needs a scheduler, a care pro and our RN to get there
  • Comfortable talking about hours and cost plainly, and recommending what someone actually needs
  • Highly motivated and self-directed. You'd manage your own week around calls, visits and first shifts
  • Experience with aging adults, whether that be in home care, senior living, hospice, a hospital, or caring for someone in your own family
  • Clear writing. What you learn in someone's living room is what the rest of the team works from
  • Comfortable on a computer; you'd be in our systems every day
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

This is not hands-on caregiving, and it is not a nursing role. Our care pros provide the exceptional care, you just make sure it is the right care.

Before You Apply
A Few Things This Role Requires
  • A valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record and current auto insurance, as you'll be driving a company vehicle to client homes
  • A pre-employment drug screen
  • A comprehensive background check

An offer and employment are subject to acceptable background check and drug screening results.

One thing we ask

The application asks why this job interests you. Not a formal cover letter — just a few lines in your own words. A lot of this role is writing down what you learned so the rest of the team can act on it, so we'd genuinely like to read something you wrote.
