Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved respiratory program is required.
• Current state professional license is required.
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience is required.
• Experience with home medical equipment is highly desired.
• CPR certification and health requirements must be met before patient interaction.
• Knowledge of Word Processing software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and provide instruction to patients and/or caregivers on proper use of respiratory care equipment.
• Ensure patients and/or caregivers can operate and maintain equipment and assist with problem solving.
• Perform routine follow-up contacts and equipment maintenance checks.
• Complete paperwork including daily delivery logs, plans of care and treatment, as required.
• Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition in the field and at the office.
• Consult with referring physician regarding patient treatment, medical condition, and home environment.
