Job summary

Puget Sound Educational School District is seeking two Home Visitors to deliver high-quality home-based child development, family support, and health/nutrition services in Pierce County. You will conduct home visits, assess needs, coordinate services, and support families to promote school readiness from pregnancy through ages five.

Qualifications

• Home Visitor CDA credential or AA Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field.
• Experience with children birth-5 and their families.
• Experience in Head Start/Early Head Start/ECEAP or similar programs serving low-income families.
• Experience with infants/toddlers and pregnant participants and families.
• Bilingual ability—Spanish preferred; experience with interpreters a plus.
• Community outreach experience.

Responsibilities

• Actively recruit and enroll pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and families for services.
• Analyze assessment data and collaborate with parents to set school readiness goals.
• Conduct regular home visits to assess needs and support parent/child interactions.
• Coordinate transportation to program activities to ensure participation.
• Collaborate with educators and providers to support families and children.
• Conduct health and developmental screenings and create learning plans.
• Develop individualized family plans to progress toward goals.
• Engage in community planning and partner with agencies to provide case management.
