Kids In Distress Inc. seeks a dedicated Home Visitor to initiate and maintain regular in-home services for families, providing education on parenting, child development, and safety. The role involves screening, goal setting, and connecting families with community resources.

You will work in the community with flexible hours, transport a vehicle, and participate in supervision and trainings to support families effectively.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with children or families.
• Ability to establish trusting relationships and work with culturally diverse populations.
• Knowledge of infant and child development and willingness to engage in reflective practice.
• Must be computer literate and able to complete documents in Microsoft Word.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills; able to work independently in the community.
• Flexible hours, reliable transportation, and a valid Florida driver's license with vehicle and proof of insurance.

Aufgaben

• Initiate and maintain regular long-term home visiting services for a caseload of families.
• Provide education on parenting, child development and home safety.
• Complete child developmental and parent screens; model positive parent-child interactions using curriculum.
• Assist families in creating and achieving goals; link to community resources as needed.
• Complete required documentation; participate in supervision, trainings, team meetings and events.
• Review screens/referrals to determine eligibility and initiate outreach to potential participants.
• Complete the HFFAT within 30 days of enrollment; make referrals for ancillary services.
